A leading manufacturer of automotive components is looking for a Quality Engineer to lead continuous improvement, problem solving, corrective actions, supplier quality and production support projects at their large plant near Burlington, IA. The QE will spend much of his or her time on the production floor. This is an excellent opportunity to further learn and hone QC, QA and continuous improvement skills and prepare for advancement. A technical BS degree from an accredited university is required, along with 5 years of hands-on quality engineering experience. Knowledge must include ISO9001/TS16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, SPC, blue print reading, supplier quality, internal auditing and problem solving. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, advanced statistics or statistically designed experiments is required. A Black Belt is preferred. Also, a professional certification from ASQ (CQE, CQA or CQM) is preferred. The Quality Engineer will be heavily involved in developing and maintaining Work Instructions, Control Plans, APQP, PPAP and PFMEA documents, and he or she is expected to participate and lead 8D investigations. A high level of customer interaction can be expected. This company offers excellent benefits including some relocation assistance.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
