Our MISSION is to provide affordable, comprehensive, culturally appropriate, cost effective primary health care to residents of greater Southeastern Iowa region, especially those individuals or families with limited resources or with other barriers to health care, in order to improve their overall health status.
POSITION
Summary:
This positionis based in our Call Center and performs overall call center functions including but not limited to answering phones; greeting patients; patient scheduling of appointments for medical, dental, behavioral health services; and general patient communication exhibiting excellent customer service skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES 1.
Supports and monitors all aspects of Call Center, including:
a.
Answered a high volume of phone calls, and direct other calls to appropriate departments, including clinical staff (triage) per policy.
b.
Communicates effectively with patients and clinical staff.
c.
Routinely addressing patient questions and concerns as applicable, and task messages to providers via EMR.
d.
Ability to comply, understand and follows triage policy.
e.
Ability to adapt to operational changes f.
Great customer service skills are a MUST as we owe the utmost in customer service to our patients g.
Managed high-volume workload, effectively prioritizing tasks to remain organized.
h.
Promoting prompt and courteous service to maintained and organized a professional environment for consumers and staff.
2.
Supports and monitors all aspects of Patient Scheduling, including:
a.
Knowledge and understanding of effective and efficient patient scheduling b.
Familiar with scheduling appointments for a large multi practice (medical, behavior health, dental) group c.
Efficiently and accurately obtain pertinent clinical information, insurance information and demographic information.
d.
Coordinated scheduling among multiple parties, including patients, physicians, and facilities to accommodate preferences and urgency e.
Assess patient needs to match patient to an appropriate provider.
f.
Ability to comply, understand and follows triage policy g.
Knowledge of insurance protocols and requirements h.
Expertise in navigating insurance company websites to view preauthorization's when applicable.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.
Computer skills:
typing (minimum 30 WPM), data entry.
Testing will be completed to verify minimum level of proficiency.
Computer experience in Microsoft Suite, Electronic Health Records (EHR, EDR, EPM).
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and consistently meet department work schedule as designated.
Excellent customer service skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Healthcare terminology (medical, dental, behavioral health); Bilingual preferred; call center experience preferred.
