Kitchen Manager Description:
The kitchen manager is responsible for managing all functions of the kitchen and facilities during the opening, mid, or closing shifts.
Key responsibilities include hiring, managing, supervising, and training kitchen team members and ensuring a timely and excellent eating experience for all customers from arrival to departure.
Responsibilities:
- The smooth function of the kitchen, ensuring that all guests expectations are met or exceeded.
- Supervising kitchen staff and stations throughout the kitchen and restaurant.
- Managing communication between the front desk, servers, bar, tables, etc.
- Ongoing training and development of all kitchen positions to maximize potential, while organizing and supervising staff schedules, side-work, and cleanliness of the kitchen and facilities.
- Coordinate with the marketing manager/events planner to promote specials or upcoming events.
- Supporting the restaurant and bar manager for the overall success of the kitchen/restaurant and the future return of each customer.
- Interview, hire, and train all kitchen staff.
Perform yearly performance reviews with staff and promote and/or compensate accordingly.
- Develop specials and different menu items as needed with the kitchen staff.
Skills/Requirements:
